生物技术杂志创刊于1991年，办刊以来，融指导性、实用性、知识性于一体，发行周期为：双月刊，经过杂志社调整，不断提高了刊物的整体质量，在行业内有一定的影响。
生物技术杂志的主要栏目有论著、技术与方法、开发与应用、综述与讲座等。
(一)题目中应避免使用非公知公用的缩略语、字符、代号及结构式和公式。
(二)基金项目：如果论文是项目成果，请按“项目名称（项目号）”的形式写出。项目名称与项目号两者都要有。
(三)正文结果：在正文和图表中按逻辑顺序描述结果，紧扣主题。正文不得重复图表中的数据，仅需强调或概述重要的观察结果。
(四)页下注释的格式基本与参考文献格式一致，但需注意的是外文注释中的作者姓名遵照外国人名的书写顺序。
(五)内容真实、论点明确、论据可靠、数据真实、条理清楚、观点新颖。
